NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Columbia women's lacrosse team will play its final regular season game on Saturday, April 28 at 1 pm as they travel to face Virginia Tech. Follow the game with live video by clicking the link above.

INSIDE THE SERIES

This marks the second time in history these two programs will matchup. The first came in 2003 as the Lions fell to the Hokies, in Blacksburg, 16-10. Saturday's game also marks the first time in program history that Columbia faces an ACC opponent. In the previous meeting, Virginia Tech were still members of the Big East before joining the ACC in 2004.

LAST TIME OUT

In the final home game of the season, Columbia fell 10-3 to Harvard on Saturday, April 1 at Robert K. Kraft Field. Prior to the game, Columbia honored seniors Karlee Blank, Amanda Goodhart, Taylor Gattinella, and Jenny Schiff for their contributions to the women's lacrosse program.

In a celebration of its seniors on Senior Day, it was fitting that Gattinella added a score for the Lions, her 76th of her career. Junior Kacie Johnson assisted on two goals from sophomore Camille Richardson and first-year Katie Angulo, to led the team with two points. Despite the loss, first-year goalkeeper Skylar Dabbar netted a career-high 17 saves giving her a league leading 124 saves on the season.

In her final game at Robert K. Kraft field, Goodhart caused a game-high two turnovers. With 28 caused turnovers on the season, she tied the program season record set by Antionette Allen('00CC) in 1999. Gattinella reached an Ivy League career record 160 draw controls and posted a Columbia season record mark of 48. Columbia drops to 2-12,0-7 in the Ivy League.

NATIONAL & IVY LEAGUE STATISTICS

Columbia stands among the nation's best in groundballs per game at #11 overall. The team has 258 groundballs in 14 games averaging 18.43 per game to lead the Ivy League. Amanda Goodhart also ranks 11th in the country in caused turnovers, with a league leading 28 caused turnovers for 2.00 per game.

Dabbar has posted double-digit saves in her last five games, including a 17 save performance against Harvard, to earn a #21 national ranking in saves per game. She stands atop the league with 124 total saves for an average of 8.86 per game. Dabbar improves to a .394 save percentage and has held opponents to a .380 shooting percentage on free position shots this year.

Johnson remains the league leader with 72 total points through 14 games.  She ranks sixth nationally with an average 5.14 per game and ranks 17th in assists per game at 2.28, with a league leading total of 32 on the season.

CLIMBING THE CHARTS

With 180 career points, Johnson surpassed Marisa Marcellino's mark of 164 set in 2008, to become second all-time. The junior moved to third all-time in goals scored with 108 and becomes only the fifth player to reach the 100th goal mark. The team assists leader has 72 career assists and stands second all-time, moving past Columbia standout Holly Glynn's '09CC mark of 52.

Johnson tallied eight goals and nine assists in the last three games for the Lions and was named Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, April 16. The award is the second of the year for Johnson, as she was named Offensive Player of the Week on March 5, and the third of her career.

She tallied four goals and five assists for a season high nine points in Columbia's 19-11 win over Lafayette on Wednesday, April 11. The junior midfielder set a program single-season record in points in the victory, with 62, surpassing the mark of 59 she set in 2011. She also set a single-season mark in assists, with 27.

On Saturday, February 25, senior Gattinella became Columbia's all-time leader in draw controls breaking the mark of 112 set by Carrie Anderer in 2006. A month later, Gattinella set the Ivy League all-time record for draw controls at Dartmouth on Saturday, March 24. She surpassed the century old mark of 141 set by Cornell's Jaimee Reynolds (1999-02) and continues to add to her total this season tallying a league record 160 career draw controls this season.

Gattinella set a Columbia season record for draw controls with 40 on the year. She surpassed the mark of 39 set by Carrie Anderer ('06CC) in 2004 and reached again by Olivia Mann in 2010.

Gattinella also ranks second all-time for Columbia in career groundballs with 116. With three groundballs against Lafayette she surpassed Antoinette Allen '00CC at 114.

Goodhart has caused a career total 76 turnovers. She currently places second all-time, surpassing the 69 caused turnovers by Brynn Wumbrand '01CC. She is only the second player in Columbia history to reach the 70 mark along with Kate Lombard '07CC. Lombard owns the all-time record with 80.

SCOUTING THE HOKIES

The Hokies were handed an ACC Tournament loss in the team's latest outing by #4 Maryland, 7-15. All-ACC Jessica Nonn leads Virginia Tech, at 9-7 on the season,, with 29 goals and 11 assists for a team-high 40 points. The Hokies have five players with over 20 scores on the year, including freshman Megan Will who has 33 points with 27 goals and six assists on the year.
