NEW YORK - Columbia wrestling sophomore Wyatt Baker will travel to Thailand Sept. 4-9 to compete at the Junior World Championships.

Baker earned a spot on the United States team at 120 kg with a victory over Parker Betts in the title bout of the Greco Roman Junior World Trials in May. The win avenged a previous loss to Betts at the FILA Juniors in Wisconsin.

Baker, who wrestles at 285 lbs. for Columbia, was recently interviewed by NY Wrestling News with regards to his win in May, his summer training, his upcoming trip and the 2012-13 Ivy League season.
