LIVE STATS

NEW YORK - The Columbia field hockey team will look to extend its four-game win-streak this weekend when they welcome Cornell and Fairfield to the Baker Stadium Complex to open a four-match home swing.

The Lions will face the Big Red on Friday, Sept. 21 at 4:00 p.m. and will close the weekend with a non-conference tilt against Fairfield on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1:00 p.m.

Columbia claimed a 4-1 victory over Brown on Sept. 16 to kick-off Ivy League play. The Lions have now scored four or more goals in three straight, and are ranked ninth in the nation in scoring (3.66 goals per game).

Senior Molly Andrews and freshman Christina Freibott were each named to the Ivy League Honor Roll for their efforts in the Lions' wins over Hofstra and the Bears. Andrews scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner against the Pride. Freibott dished out an assist in each game and played a strong game in Providence, tying for the team lead with four shots.

Last season, Columbia knocked off Cornell, 3-1, in Ithaca, N.Y. Gabby Kozlowski is the only holdover that scored in that game, while Christie O'Hara earned the win in goal after making eight saves. It marked just the program's second win and snapped a six-game losing streak against the Big Red.

Columbia holds a 5-3 all-time record against the Stags. The teams have not squared off since 2009 when the Lions claimed a 5-2 win.

Live stats will be available for both games. Admission is free for Columbia field hockey at the Baker Stadium Complex.
