FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. - Freshman men's tennis player Dragos Ignat captured the singles flight B draw title Sunday in his first collegiate tournament.

Ignat took on Matthew Spindler in the finals, coming away with a straight-set victory over his opponent from Princeton. The first set went to a tie-breaker, but Ignat came out on top, 7-6(3). In the second set, Ignat was able to break Spindler once, securing a 6-4 set win.

The Lions will be back on the court Sept. 28-30, competing in Philadelphia, Pa. at the Penn Invitational.
