STILLWATER, Okla. - Columbia wrestling alumnus Andrew Barth
'83CC and his wife Avery have made a $1 million multi-year pledge to the
National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum, the largest donation in the
organization's history.
"We are very excited about the gift that Andy and Avery
Barth have made to the National Wrestling Hall of Fame," said Carl Fronhofer,
the Andrew F. Barth Head Coach of Wrestling at Columbia. "It is vital to
support our great sport in as many ways as possible. Documenting and teaching
the history of our sport is critical to the future of wrestling in America."
Barth, who last spring became the 48th recipient of the
Outstanding American Award given by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame only
after a rigorous review process, made the donation to support the
organization's Wrestling Beyond the Walls campaign.
Information regarding Barth's donation, as well as the
Wrestling Beyond the Walls campaign to revitalize and incorporate more
technology into the NWHOF can be found HERE.
