Interview: Head Coach Willy Wood thoughts on the team this season
NEW YORK - The No. 28 ranked Columbia men's cross-country team is back in action
this weekend for two competitive mid-season meets. A number of runners will head to
Bethlehem, Pa., to compete in the 2012 Paul Short Run Invitational on Friday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. The Lions will compete against tough field including four ranked teams, No. 15 Georgetown, No. 17
Princeton, No. 22 Villanova and host No. 11 Lehigh.
On Saturday, Sept. 29, standout runners Leighton Spencer,
Mark Feigen, and squad will compete in the 2012 Greater Louisville Cross
Country Classic. The Lions will race 12 runners that look to leave their footprint on the
national stage. At 9:30 am, they will begin the run against 34 teams in the
Men's Gold division.

Columbia is coming off an impressive win at the 8K Vermont
Invitaional. The teams' strong sweeping
performance featured an individual title by Spencer and 13 of the top 15 finishes
in the meet.
