PRINCETON, N.J. - Freshman goalkeeper Kyle Jackson has been
selected as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference
office Monday afternoon.
Jackson helped lead the Lions past Penn Saturday night,
making a career-high eight saves en route to a 1-0 victory. Saturday marked the
first time since Oct. 29, 2011 that any team held Penn scoreless.
The Paradise Valley, Ariz. native in now 3-3-1 with 35 saves
as a first-year. He becomes the first two-time winner of the Ivy League weekly
honor since Henning Sauerbier garnered the recognition three times in 2010.
Jackson and the Lions host Providence tomorrow at the
Columbia Soccer Stadium at 7 p.m.
