NEW YORK - After strong performances at the Greater Louisville Classic
last month, the Columbia cross-country teams will face one of their toughest
tests of the season at the University of Wisconsin Adidas
Invitational on Friday, October 12. The women's 6k race will feature 49 teams starting at noon, followed by the
46 team men's 8k race at 12:40 p.m.
On Friday, the No. 17 Columbia men's cross-country team will
face their first challenge since earning the highest national ranking in
program history in the latest USTFCCA National Polls. The field features 16
ranked opponents in the nation's top 30, including three out of the top five in #5
Iona, #4 Oklahoma, and host #1 Wisconsin.

The women's 6k loaded field will be a similar test for the Lions
with 17 of the 49 teams ranked in the top 30. The Lions will look to
build on their No. 23 ranking as they take on top teams including, #9 Cornell, #7 Stanford, #5 Iowa State,#3 Washington, and #2 Arizona.
