PRINCETON, N.J. - First-year goalkeeper Kyle Jackson has
been selected as the Ivy League Co-Rookie of the Week, as announced by the
conference on Monday afternoon.
Jackson recorded seven saves in 110 minutes of work as the
Lions played Princeton to a scoreless tie Saturday night. Jackson has now gone
214 minutes without giving up a tally after shutting out Penn last weekend.
The honor is Jackson's third of the year. Only three
freshmen in the Ivy League have been selected as the Rookie of the Week.
Princeton's Thomas Sanner has received the award four times, while Brown's Tim
Whalen, whom Jackson shares this week's award, has been selected twice.
Whalen provided the assist on No. 19 Brown's overtime goal
Saturday against Harvard to help the Bears improve to 2-0-1 on the Ivy League.
Columbia returns to Ivy League play Saturday when it hosts
Dartmouth for homecoming at 7 p.m.
