NORCROSS, Ga. - Head men's golf coach Rich Mueller has been selected by U.S. Kids Golf as a Honorable Mention recipient of the 2012 Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teachers Award, as announced by U.S. Kids Golf earlier this month.

In its eighth year, the U.S. Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teachers Award honors elite professionals who have dedicated their careers to developing junior golf in their communities and are known for their overall excellence and commitment to serving youth. These experienced individuals have committed themselves to helping kids develop a love for the game of golf that lasts well beyond their junior days.

Columbia will begin competition this spring on March 24-25 when it heads to Wilmington, N.C. to play in the Seahawk Invitational.
