NEW YORK - The Columbia men's swimming and diving team returns
to Ivy League competition on Friday, Jan. 18 when they travel to Ithaca, N.Y.
to take on the Big Red of Cornell. The diving events will start at 2:30 p.m. and
the swimming events will follow at 4 p.m.
The 3-2, 1-2 in the Ivy League Lions will look to capture their
third straight dual meet victory of the season coming off the teams latest win
over Bucknell. Columbia took the last meeting at Uris Pool with a 205.5-92.5 win.
The win marked the teams first over Cornell since the 2003-04 season.
Last Time Out
Seven different Columbia swimmers won individual races and
Micah Rembrandt swept the diving events as the Lions defeated Bucknell 209-91 on
Jan. 5 at Uris Pool. The win over the Bison marked the ninth consecutive
victory, dating back to the 2004-05 season. A dominating performance saw the
Lions take 12 of 16 events, including six top 1-2-3 finish sweeps.

Scouting the Big Red
The Big Red improved to 1-5 on the year after winning its
first dual meet of the season over Colgate, 152-112 on Jan. 12. Cornell stands
0-5 in the Ivy League and will look to upset the Lions in its final dual meet of
the season at Teagle Hall Pool.
