NEW YORK - Columbia fencer Jackie Dubrovich was named the National Rookie of the Week by CollegeFencing360.com for her outstanding performances against nationally ranked competition last weekend.

The first-year was a force for the Columbia women foilists, making an impressive debut in a big way at the St. John's Invitational, winning 10-of-11 bouts. Dubrovich continued to dominate the following day at the NYU Invitational by posting an 11-1 mark, compiling a 21-2 weekend effort.

Her success came in combination with fellow foilists Margaret Lu (20-4) and 2012 Olympian Nzingha Prescod (25-5) to help lift the No. 3-ranked Columbia women's foil team to an 8-2 weekend, with eight of those matchups coming against top-10 opponents.
