NEW YORK - The No. 11 Columbia men's squash team brought the
2012-13 regular season to a conclusion Sunday afternoon on the road at No. 1
Princeton. Hosting the Lions at the Jadwin Squash Courts, the Tigers secured
the 9-0 victory.
The Tigers won 27 of 30 games played Sunday afternoon, good
for six sweeps. In the No. 2 match, Columbia's Mohamed AbdelMaksoud went up
early with an 11-9 win in the first game, but Samuel Kang took the next three
for the 3-1 victory.
Graham Miao tied the No. 4 match by capturing the second
game, but dropped the next two by similar 11-5 scores to lose the match to
Dylan Ward. Theo Buchsbaum took the third set of the No. 9 match against
Michael LeBlanc, but would also go down 3-1 following an 11-6 loss in the
fourth game.
Columbia will have a just under two weeks to prepare for the
CSA Team National Championships in New Haven, Conn. from Feb. 22-24.
