NEW YORK - The Columbia wrestling team will bring the
2012-13 regular season to a close with matches at Harvard and Brown this
weekend. The Lions will take on Harvard in the Malkin Athletic Center Friday,
Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. and then challenge Brown Saturday, Feb. 23 at 12 p.m. in the
Pizzitola Sports Center.

Both Harvard and Brown will have live streams of the matches
for a fee.
Columbia split a pair of Ivy League contests last weekend,
downing Princeton, 30-7, but fell to No. 23 Penn, 23-9. No. 5 Steve Santos and
Stephen West each earned their 20th victories this season with wins on Saturday
against the Tigers. Santos, West and Jake O'Hara are each undefeated in Ivy
Harvard enters Friday's match with a 7-5 mark in dual
matches after reeling off four consecutive wins over the last two weeks. The
last time out, the Crimson dispatched Brown, 21-11, and Boston University,
Brown is 8-8 heading into the weekend with matches against
Columbia and Sacred Heart on the docket. The Bears snapped a three-match losing
skid with a 19-19 tiebreaker victory over BU last weekend.
125: Penn Gottfried (6-12) vs.
Jeffery Ott (16-13, Harvard)/Billy Watterson (15-14, Brown)
Gottfried went 1-1 last weekend with a defeat of Princeton's Max Rogers, 11-5,
but lost to Penn's Mark Rappo.
133: Matt Bystol
(2-1) vs. Ryan Osleeb (8-11) or Shay Warren (4-4, Harvard)/Anthony Finocchiaro
(5-9) or Beau Martino (5-6, Brown)
Bystol notched his second pin of the season and first at 133 last Friday in
just 29 seconds against Princeton's Andrew Hirai.
Mooradian (2-3) vs. No. 10 Steven Keith (24-6, Harvard)/Cort Choate (6-18) or
Zack Tanenbaum (6-9, Brown)
Mooradian posted a weekend split last weekend with a triumph over Princeton's
Kevin Moylan and a loss to Penn's C.J. Cobb.

Santos (20-2) vs. Todd Preston (5-5) or Alexis Wagener (0-6, Harvard)/Zach Rees
Santos record two decisions in his favor to reach the 20-win plateau. His win
on Saturday against Andrew Lanzi from Penn came thanks to a takedown and near fall
in the last five seconds of the match.

O'Hara (18-4) vs. No. 8 Walter Peppelman (14-2, Harvard)/Phil Marano (5-7) or
CJ Howard (2-8, Brown)
O'Hara also scored two wins last weekend, including his first pin of the year
in 2:44 against Princeton's Brandon Rolnick.
Houldsworth (16-6) vs. Devin Gobbo (7-11, Harvard)/Giusseppi Lanzi (11-10) or
Austin Rugraff (2-7, Brown)
Houldsworth began last weekend with a 8-3 decision over Princeton's Judd
Ziegler before being edged in a tight match, 1-0, by Penn's Casey Kent.

(20-5) vs. Cameron Croy (18-12, Harvard)/Ricky McDonald (3-11) or Seth Nolan
West joined Santos in the 20-win club, toppling Ryan Callahan from Princeton
and Penn's Ian Korb last weekend.

(8-15) vs. Josh Popple (7-12, Harvard)/Ophir Bernstein (18-9)
Rebling dropped a pair of bouts to Princeton's Scott Gibbons and Penn's Canaan
197: Nick Mills
(13-11) vs. James Fox (9-3, Harvard)/Sterling Hecox (14-7) or Augustus Marker (2-6)
Mills went 1-1 last weekend, slipping past Princeton's Dan Santoro before
losing a close bout to Penn's Micah Burak, 4-3.
HWT: Chris Manna
(5-14) vs. David Ng (7-8) or Nicholas Gajdzik (6-9, Harvard)/Marcos Aranda (5-12)
or DJ Ingham (1-8)
Manna wrestled well last weekend, but came out on the wrong side of two close
decisions against Princeton's Cole Lampman and Steven Graziano.
