SCORE CARD
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 11 Columbia men's squash team
dropped its Hoehn Cup (B Division) semifinal match Saturday afternoon to No. 10
Williams by a score of 6-3. The Lions will wrap up the 2013 CSA National Team
Championships with a matchup against Dartmouth in the 11/12th place contest
Sunday.
Ramit Tandon and Mohamed AbdelMaksoud defended the top of
the ladder for the Lions, winning the top two matches. Tandon swept Kevin Chen,
11-5, 11-5, 11-4, in the No. 1 match, while AbdelMaksoud took down Nick Marks
in three-games, 11-4, 11-8, 11-9.
Daniel Saleem provided Columbia's third win by capturing the
No. 5 match in five games. Saleem dropped the first game but battled back and
secured the win in the fifth game, 7-11, 11-7, 11-5, 14-16, 11-8.
The Lions match against Dartmouth is slated to start
at 3 p.m. Sunday.
