NEW YORK - The Columbia men's swimming and diving team has proven to be
one of the top academic programs in the country this fall being named a College
Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team for the 2012
fall semester.
To qualify for Scholar All-America Team accolades, a team
must earn a 3.00 or above cumulative GPA for the evaluated semester. With a
team GPA of 3.34, the Lions were among the top six of the 65 total teams to
receive this honor.

Columbia will open post dual-meet season competition this
weekend as they travel to Cambridge, Mass. for the 2013 ECAC Swimming &
Diving Championships. The three-day meet will be held at Harvard's Blodgett
Pool and will begin on Friday, March 1 with preliminary heats at 10 a.m. Both Friday and Saturday will begin with 10 a.m. preliminaries, and then conclude with finals
sessions at 6 p.m. On Sunday, the preliminary heats will start at 9 a.m. and the finals will follow at 4 p.m.
