PRINCETON, N.J. - Columbia men's basketball senior Brian Barbour was named Second Team All-Ivy League on Wednesday afternoon. This marks the third time the Alamo, Calif. native has received a conference postseason honor, making him just the 10th Lion to accomplish the feat and the first since John Baumann ‘08CC.

Barbour averaged a team-best 12.1 points to go with 4.0 assists. He led the conference with a 2.9:1 turnover/assist ratio (which ranks ninth in the NCAA) and his .882 free-throw percentage put him second among Ivy Leaguers.

This season, he set new career-highs with 12 assists against Elon and five steals against Brown. Barbour's season-high in scoring came at the Palestra, where he netted 21 points.

Undoubtedly one of the best point guards in school history, Barbour finished ninth on the career scoring list with 1,216 points, second in assists (346), and third in steals (124). In addition he is the Ivy League's all-time leader in free-throw percentage at a .897 clip.
