Harrison McFann

For the second consecutive season, McFann has earned his place at the NCAA Championships after a qualifying finish in the men’s 800m in the East Regional Preliminary Round. McFann finished with a time of 1:49.32 in Heat 2 to grab the final qualifying time.

At 1:49.32, he enters Wednesday’s semifinal race with the 15th best seed time. The junior’s fastest time this season came at the George Mason Spring Invitational when he clocked in at 1:48.22, which would stand among the nation’s top ten in this event.

McFann will look to better his sixth place finish in Heat 2 of last year’s 800m semifinals. To advance to the 800m championship finals on Saturday, he must be one of the top two runners of the opening three heats or have the next two best times.
