NEW YORK – Columbia women’s rowing head coach Scott Ramsey has announced the addition of McKenzie Largay ‘12CC to his coaching staff for the upcoming season.
"I am very excited to welcome Kenzie back to the Columbia women's rowing program as an assistant coach this year," Ramsey said. "As a recent alumna, she brings a tremendous amount of passion, enthusiasm and pride to the table and will be an excellent role model for the young athletes on our team. Kenzie has hit the ground running with our on campus recruiting efforts, and we'll be counting on her to mentor and develop our walk-ons this fall."
Largay competed with the Lions from 2008-12, rowing with the varsity eight in her final two seasons. The Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., native helped Columbia win the Petite Final at the EAWRC Sprints in 2011.
As a senior, Largay was slotted in the stroke seat during victories over Ivy League foes Radcliffe (Harvard), Cornell and Penn.
After earning her bachelor’s in psychology, Largay is working toward earning a master’s degree from the Mailman School of Public Heath.
