PRINCETON, N.J. – Columbia volleyball sophomore Bailey Springer was tabbed second team All-Ivy League, as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

Springer had a breakout campaign that saw her lead the Ancient Eight in kills (3.55 per set) and points (3.89). The Ft. Worth, Texas native also was strong defensively and averaged 2.11 digs per set to rank third on the squad.

Springer broke the 20-kill plateau twice this season, highlighted by a 25-kill performance against Binghamton on Sept. 14 which was the most by any player in the Ivy League in a single-match. She finished the season strong, recording double-figure kills in eight of Columbia’s final nine matches. Additionally, the standout outside hitter posted seven double-doubles.

Yale outside hitter Kendall Polan earned Player of the Year honors, becoming the first player in conference history to earn the award three times. Defensive Player of the Year went to Dani Shepherd of Penn, while Harvard’s Corinne Bain was a unanimous selection as Rookie of the Year.
