LIONS' STATUS
Columbia will close out its first season under the leadership of head coach
Stephanie Glance with visits to Penn and Princeton this weekend.
Tori Oliver was honored on Monday, March 3 as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week after averaging 22.5 and 4.5 rebounds against Dartmouth and Harvard. Oliver tallied 33 points against the Big Green, the second-highest point total of any Ancient Eight player this season, and the highest total for a Columbia player since January 23, 2010 when Judie Lomax scored 30 against Cornell.
QUAKERS' STATUS
Penn bounced back from a loss to Dartmouth on Feb. 22 with vicctories at Brown and Yale over the weekend. The two wins moved the Quakers back into a tie for first place atop the Ancient Eight standings with Princeton. The loss to the Big Green is the lone blemish on the Quaker's record since Jan. 22, winning 11 of their last 12. If Penn and Princeton post identical records this weekend, the season-finale in Princeton, N.J. on March 11 would serve as a de facto championship game.
TIGERS' STATUS
Princeton posted a weekend split, defeating Yale, 85-63, but then fell the following night at Brown, 61-58, to enter the final three games of the season tied atop the Ivy League standings with Penn at 9-2. The loss to the Bears snapped an eight-game win streak for the Tigers and is the first conference defeat to a team not named Harvard in nearly five years.

Tori Oliver had the best offensive performance of any Lion in over three years, scoring 33 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the field and 11-of-15 from the free throw line against Dartmouth on Friday, Feb. 28. The last Columbia player to top 30 points in a game was Judie Lomax on Jan. 23, 2010. Oliver averaged 22.5 points and 4.5 rebounds over the weekend to become the second Columbia player to earn Ivy League Rookie of the Year accolades, joining
Carolyn Binder who won the award three times this season.
IF IT'S FREEOliver ranks second in the Ancient Eight with 109 made free throws this season, just three shy of Harvard's Christine Clark. The last Columbia player to make 100 freebies in a single season was Judie Lomax in 2009-10 when she converted on 119-of-181 attempts.
THE 600-500 CLUB
Senior
Courtney Bradford joined an exclusive club of Columbia women's basketball players on Friday, Feb, 28. With five boards, Bradford went over the 600-rebound mark, becoming just the eighth player in program history to reach that feat. She enters the final weekend of her career with 606 boards and 557 points.
